“Let’s do a photo shoot.”

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

She came down with a handful of hair clips. She looks up earnest and lifts the barrettes to me, “Put these in. Let’s do a photo shoot.” She is not to be denied, eh?

Amorphophallus Erectus

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

This big beauty opens only once every few years. It opened for us on a Sunday morning in the hothouse at that bastion of liberal lesbianism, Smith College. The thing is enormous and proud, the stick next to it is a yard stick! And the scent, which comes in breezy whiffs is politely described as reminiscent of rotting deer meat. Somehow the fawn reference tarts up that stench a bit. What a beauty! Tall and bold, steeped in sapphos, the amorpho-phallic nature of a turgid tropic.

Earthquakes aren’t enough!

It’s hot and frisky in the hood, on top of this brunchtide’s roll today. Hillside views Jim would have appreciated. ”If they said I never loved you….”

Earthquakes West, monster storms East

It took some doing to get out from under these lordly skies of brunt-hit Mass. lashing roads and windscreens beyond visability to get home and roll beneath more familiar baking skies.

Booze for Kids!

Sometimes the message is just so wrong! And so good! This is some of my progressive politics at its finest, true dirt and spin, but for the good team. Evil doesn’t have the entire lease on cool…. Un-unionized liquor stores cum supermarkets watch out.

The Show I’m Looking Forward To.

Monday, July 7th, 2008

Bindi saw Wicked again this weekend. A friend sent an invitation to a light comedy about addiction later this summer. But the show I’m really waiting for is still batting around in the head of my new Copper Penny friend here. Having taken this picture, I assured her it would be neigh time to get her roll down on paper, cause boy can she spill out that yarn. Baptist minister’s daughter in West Texas is just the start…..

Finally getting pitch-hitting relief on the getting the knots out front. Walked in to find them handling it themselves. Love CHICKS.

Factory Girl Tubes

Monday, July 7th, 2008

I’ve always been partial to this picture. It really catches the moment I was looking for in this closing factory. It gets at the sexiness I saw in the place and eschews an indication of sexuality, to me it is just sexy, the place and the woman and the moment watching her abandoned and unadorned.

The Offal Of Pop’s House

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Pops recently renovated his home. Good move, out with the old ghosts. But he got rid of lots of cool things that we swift became the beneficiaries of. Hats off to one man’s need for modernization while Ilse and I flourish in our hand-built-home country comforts…
