Spending 39 On Ice.

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

The life is filled with the grace of the Moment. It is a huge gift and I receive it so gladly. It was my Birthday and they said what do you want to do. Unequivocally I said, “Take the CHICKS skiing!” And ski we did. My bunny bombers get better in leaps and bounds and I – having not skied avidly in over two decades – have taken it back up in three tries this season and am carving better that I ever did as a youth. That’s comforting, emboldening, as I rush headlong into the end of the adolescence of my middle age.

Our view of Sagarmatha

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Mt. Baldy in this case. Here’s the masterful view from the top of our Paradise hill. Love LA in the rain, and in those waning hours of a winter’s day that has rained and hailed earlier, then blown out to fantastically, unrealistically clean. What a town.
